Hello everyone, welcome back to my sports and fitness blog. Today there is something that I want to tell you. Michael Vick, the absolute beast from Madden 2005 is not finished. He will be returning for another season of football...in the new American Flag Football League. Vick is currently 36 years old, and he last played football in 2015 for the Pittsburgh Steelers where he started a couple of games for injured quarterback Ben Roethlisberger before injured his quad muscle. Now Vick is getting one more chance to fling it downfield, playing in some 7-on-7 flag football games in 2018. We will get to see our favourite cannon arm before that however, as Vick will be playing in a launch game on the 27th in San Jose. Joining him will be former NFL running back Justin Forsett, who retired from the NFL only a couple of months ago. Read more
Hello everyone! I hope you are all well. Welcome back to my sports and fitness blog. I don't know if you're aware of it, but I'm a big fan of cycling. It is a great workout and it keeps your entire body in good shape.
Right now the sun is shining and the temperatures are rising every day. So it is about time to start this years cycle season. Get off your spinning bikes and get your push bikes ready. Those who have put their bike in the garage or cellar during the winter should, however, pay attention to some things before venturing into the street again. Read more
What is going on everybody? Welcome back to my little sports and fitness blog, super happy for y’all to be here again today and support me. It means a lot. Now, onto the NBA playoffs. We got a couple good games going on in the first round of the playoffs, including the Boston Celtics taking on the Chicago Bulls and the Toronto Raptors taking on the Milwaukee Bucks. I am really excited for the Raptors to tear apart the Bucks, as a Canadian I only get one team to cheer for and it isn’t that often that they are in the playoffs. With eight series starting next week, here are my picks for the teams that will move onto the second round of NBA playoffs. Hello there people. I would like to welcome y’all back to my sports and fitness blog. My little boy is going to start playing flag football in the spring, and wants to be ready when it comes around. I told him that in the next couple months we will train together and by the time that the season rolls around, he will be a star. To help with this I have bought him some used equipment and training aides from www.used.forsale/australia/ that I will teach him how to use properly. I am confident that he will take the field and be one of the best players there after a good training session, if you read my post on football gloves you will know that I played high level football when I was younger so I am excited for him to follow in my steps. Steelers Vs. Ravens, A Classic Football Rivalry
Hey everyone I would like to welcome you back to my sports blog with a primary focus of football for this post. I'm gonna talk about what in my opinion was the game of the week, not in how good of a game but in who played. I'm talking Steelers Ravens, one of the hardest hitting rivalries in the league. I actually bought a pair of cleats to wear while watching this game, I found some cheap ones online at http://www.canada.for-sale.com/football-cleats that are similar to what I used to wear and it helped me to feel closer to this game. Unfortunately that was a bad idea as this ended up a disappointing show from the Steelers who are my absolute favourites so this is obviously written without bias. You mean Baltimore is actually called the Ratbirds? Read more
A Sticky Situation
Welcome back to the BestDamnSportBlog, where we cover all the new and awesome ideas brought into the world of sporting equipment. This week I want to talk about something that affects us all: Gloves. In recent years the gloves that athletes can get their hands on have gotten increasingly better at well, everything. It seems every year we get stronger gloves and stickier gloves. Right now their are no prominent NFL wide receivers who don't wear gloves, because why would you not? The gloves you can get are so sticky you barely need to touch the ball, let alone actually catch it. Odell Beckham Junior became famous overnight for a catch which frankly, I think was more gloves than him. Sure he has hands the size of dinner plates, but I have seen reporters make crazy catches with these gloves on. And I don't know to feel. Read more

Welcome back folks. I wanted to talk about fitness today, particularly trekking and the pitfalls that can be expected, especially in mountain environments. To convey just how important this is and the kind of preparation (both mentally and physically) you might need, I also want to share just how important planning is and how to choose the right equipment. The perfect way to achieve this, is to talk a bit about my experience climbing Mount Kilimanjaro back in 2001. Read more
Hi folks. What heart rate monitor would you all recommend in this day of age. I’ve had a Polar for some years now but always found the chest strap to be cumbersome and distracting whilst training. More than once it has fallen off mid-workout. Am I right in thinking that there are consumer monitors available on the market now that don’t involve a chest strap? I had a cursory search for heart rate monitors for sale online but didn’t find anything to my liking. What is everybody else using? Has anybody any recommendations? I’m mostly running on both the treadmill and the road so it would need to be practical for that particular form of exercise. Any pointers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Read more
Hi everybody. I’m looking for a little sympathy in writing this blog post. I’m currently in a huge amount of pain with my lower back. I put it out on Sunday while bending over to pick something up and then couldn’t move off the bed for 24 hours, such was the pain and gravity of the injury. Fortunately, I am back on my feet and up and about, but I am still in a great deal of discomfort with an extremely stiff back. I’ve still got a fair way to go until I’m fully recovered. Fortunately, there is an acupuncturist local to me. Acupuncture has proven to be an extremely effective remedy for ailments such as lower back pain sciatica, so I have booked an appointment for this evening. Hopefully I’ll feel much better after treatment. Only time will tell but I have every confidence in it. So today I thought I would discuss dieting… Personally I am strongly against it, well, it depends what we are talking about here. I think fad diets and trends are definitely more harm than good and are completely unsustainable but a diet that creates a balance and helps us to change our attitude towards food is a good thing. My general view point is that ‘balance is best’. So in regards to eating, it should consist of a mix of eating fairly healthy home cooked foods with some treats thrown in from time to time too. Alongside this, some form of exercise helps to cancel out the treats we have and allows us more wiggle room (in more ways than one!) This doesn’t mean you have hit the treadmill every day, it can merely be a walk with the dogs or some vigorous cleaning, just something that keeps you active. Read more

As you may know from a previous blog post, I have recently been purchasing gym equipment to encourage my two daughters to become accustomed to a healthier, exercise rich lifestyle. After the weight I gained from my two pregnancies I’d also like to get back into a regular exercise routine. I was always very active and fit before having the girls and, although, the baby and toddler years kept me fit with all the running around, I am noticing a bit of spread as my children are becoming older and less dependent on me. Turmeric has been used for many years as a medicinal herb but, in more recent years, the natural health industry has been heavily promoting one element of the turmeric plant: curcumin. It is difficult to argue against the health benefits of curcumin. Studies have shown that this chemical can fight against cancer, is anti-inflammatory, is a powerful antioxidant. Because the levels of curcumin are relatively low in turmeric powder (about 3-4%), natural health companies have been extracting the curcumin and selling it as a supplement. Some also prepare it with black pepper as, when taken together, black pepper helps the body to absorb curcumin. Read more
Sleep programming is one of those things that you’d like to work. After all, you have to sleep and if you can use that down time to learn things then that’s a bonus. So is it really possible to learn while you sleep or is the whole thought just an expensive hoax, designed to part you from your money? Read more
Spring is right around the corner. Soon flowers will be in bloom and the sunnier days may light up more than just the flowers growing in the garden. Outdoor sunlight can accentuate the fact that new wrinkles have bloomed on your face as well. Covering your wrinkles with make-up and powder just makes them look worse in bright sunlight. The best way for you to look younger and reduce wrinkles this spring is by getting youth-restoring Botox treatments. Read more
Lean Hybrid Muscle Reloaded is a very well loved muscle-building program online in these days. The author of the Lean Hybrid Muscle Reloaded program, Elliott Hulse, is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and former competitive ‘strongman’. Elliott Hulse learned the Lean Hybrid Muscle Reloaded system after disocvering the sheer inefficiency of the traditional bulk and cut approach to building muscle. Was it possible to build muscle AND burn stout at the same time? Could the muscle be strong, lean and grow rapidly? It was these questions that lead to the creation of the Lean hybrid Muscle Reloaded Program. This program is designed to be based around three core elements: resistance training, strength training, as well as cardio training therefore targeting all three muscle fiber types. Because the body responds best to a variety of stimuli that change on an ongoing basis as you progress throughout the program, this approach steps things up a notch because if there’s one thing you can be sure of, it’s that your body will never get bored. The workouts only require about 30-40 minutes per day for about 3 days each week. While there are exercises described in the book, if you want to see videos, you’ll have to go online to watch them. When you buy the program, you only get a 21 day trial of their online video coaching. This video coaching allows you to call-in and question questions or make requests each week, and then they’ll send out new videos accordingly. I really found their videos to be informative, and they try to help out their subscribers with each new weekly video. This progam is special simply because it shows you tips on how to gain muscle and lose stout all in 1 system. Most of the programs available focus on 1 objective or the other, but let’s be honest – most of us require a lot more muscle AND less stout! The Lean Hybrid Muscle program lays out a plot to do just that having a efficient exercises you will not see anywhere else. Everything within the Lean Hybrid system is made to simultaneously melt stout even though building muscle and strength. Overall, Lean Hybrid Muscle Reloaded by Elliott Hulse and Mike Westerdals is a fantastic muscle-building program for anyone who wants to maximize his overall muscle mass and to burn stout at the same time. If you are an individual who is severe about outcomes and wants a lean, ripped, muscular physique then you should undoubtedly give Lean Hybrid Muscle a look.
Tanning over the summer gives us an effervescent glow that we can only dream of in the dark days of winter. But at what lengths will we go to in order to give ourselves that killer tan we oh so need. Would we risk giving ourselves a potentially life threatening disease in order to get the girl we like to notice us? Read more
